Continues to be a great resource for the pharmacotherapy of over-the-counter drugs. A few areas of practice have changed somewhat since the last publication of this book in 2011, among which this book includes are:

• Vaccine information
• Availability of new Advil film-coated tablets, a potentially faster-acting version than standard ibuprofen propionic acid tablets
• Safety labeling changes to PPIs regarding concomitant use with methotrexate sodium for injection
• Inclusion of current pregnancy risk categories for drugs and some natural products, where appropriate
• Inclusion of references for exclusions for self-treatment

There are several other updates as well that are discussed in the book's preface. This book also has the most up-to-date product availability information, whereas the 17th edition includes some products that are no longer recommended or are no longer on the market.

Sad, but very interesting

I read this book in one night. I really liked it. I still cannot imagine doing to myself what Kessa did to herself. It's not an act to get attention, it's a real disease. Anyone who has it really needs help. I think that Kessa had a lot of courage. There was no way I could have stayed awake during the chest tube procedure. It was so graphic that I almost fainted. This author is very talented. He really gives an insight into the minds of these young girls.

Disappointing

My first disappointment upon receiving this book is to learn that it is fictional. Clearly, that was my fault for not reading more carefullly before I ordered, but I still wanted to mention that, lest anyone make the same mistake I did.

But far more disappointing than that was the actual book. I have never read anything so forced, contrived, and cliche. The writing is absolutely dreadful, the characters are stock-characters and utterly predictable. The alcoholic, gruff father. The peace-keeping, clueless mother. A rebellious daughter. Blah blah blah. I forced myself to read half of this book before I gave up.

I don't agree with the reviewers who say this book is going to "teach" someone to be anorexic. Odds are, anyone who's reading this book for tips probably knows what thy're doing anyway.

This book, however, is absolutely dreadful in terms of writing, character development, and plot. Please, please, please, save your money. This book is so not worth it.

The real thing

I have been counselling patients for more than 15 years based on what I've learned at school and at work. And I was looking for a book that would really touch the humanistic side of the patient counselling process. Thanks God, I found it.
I highly recommend keeping a copy of it in your library to refer to it whenever you feel that you are sinking in a dry world of guidelines and recommendations. It is the real thing.

New Age Story

This is story of ambitious boy just passed out of college and starting his first job. This begins with vivid description of his joining at remote location with interesting incidents. It moves into describing the office colleagues, work and experiences.

The story moves forward with a girl joining the company. She gets lot of interest from all colleagues in office. Slowly their friendship get converted to liking for each other. He opened up to his entrepreneurship dream with her. She helped him to take the plunge and focus on his dream.

Juggling between job and entrepreneurship was increasingly becoming difficult for him to manage. Though he was bootstrapping his venture but circumstances forced him to quit his job to pursue his passion.

It builds on the challenges and anxiety of bringing in right technical resources, getting customers, marketing, finding sponsors and venture capitalist as can be seen in any self-funded start-up. Finally, he succeeds with lots of struggle. The story captures a realistic business model, which can be executed with perseverance.

The story has picked up lot of dialogs from Bollywood at appropriate places. The story is fast paced and make an interesting read. It is story for new age. Good interesting read.

A walk through nostalgia

I wish I had read this book during my time as a B-school grad back in India. The writer paints a very realistic and relatable coming of age story that I am sure many of us experienced transitioning from the dream academic environment to the corporate world.

About the Author
PATRICIA ST. JOHN (1919-1993) was a nurse, missionary and author. She earned a nursing degree at St. Thomas¿ Hospital in London in 1946. In the early 1950¿s she moved to Tangier, Morocco where she served as a missionary nurse for 27 years. Throughout her life, she travelled extensively in Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East, as the settings of her novels reflect. In 1977, she returned to England, where she cared for elderly relatives and ministered from her home to youths, single parents, and the elderly. Patricia authored numerous books, including Treasures of the Snow, The Tanglewoods¿ Secret, The Secret at Pheasant Cottage, and Star of Light.

A book about children, but anyone will enjoy!

I was given a copy of The Tanglewoods' Secret when I was probably 10 or 12. I read it and loved it then. I'm now nearly 29. I just picked it up again tonight, and read it cover to cover. The struggles of the main character, a nine-year-old girl, to learn to overcome her fiery temper and selfish spirit, and her discovery of the Shepherd who can and does teach her (and others) how to be good, can speak to anyone who ever wanted their own way over another's. If you are looking for a good, pastoral story with a truly uplifting message (so hard to find today!), then order this book.

Excellent allegory of the parable of the lost sheep

I have never read a more meaningful and thought provoking allegory of the Saviors parable of the lost sheep. In addition the story contains very beautiful and uplifing examples of what can happen when we let ourselves be found by Him. I am very grateful that I found this book.

Awesome Read aloud book for family

This is our first year of homeschooling our two youngest children, ages 10 (boy) &8 ( girl). Both children loved the book and did not want me to quit reading until it was finished. We laughed and cried and fell in love with the characters. It is very hard to find books that both children enjoy listening to me reading. The characters are believable, the story heartfelt. We have since read several other of St James books and enjoyed them as well.
I highly recommend this author for wholesome, enjoyable stories.

Good Series

This was a great conclusion to the series. This book focuses mostly on Cole and Danielle. He's so classy and dark and mysterious. He has a painful past and is kind of a sadist, but not in a mean way or anything. It was nice to watch them get closer to each other.
The scenes with Malachi and Sean made me cry. I will never see those songs the same again. Beautiful.
I'm really glad Aiden and Justin got more time in this book. They've been my favorite characters. The chemistry between them is amazing and the build-up will kill me I'm sure. I'm looking forward to their book.
Unfortunately this book is shorter than the others, but it was fast paced and very sexy. Overall a very enjoyable series.

Loved It and sad to see this series end

I loved this book, I was so sad to see the series end with this book. You have to love MFMMMMM to read this story and you must start from the first book. The author keeps you focused in this book with the way the words are written.

Danielle & her men face different battles in this story. They all must come together, help each other and make choices. You get to read about other characters too that they are friends with but most of all you see love and friendship. The chemistry and sex is hot and steamy

I really enjoyed the series. Great job to the author on another amazing series.
